RiBBONs is an online shop that sells beautiful and exclusive ribbon & trimming manufactured by Japanese company SHINDO. We try to offer you the best quality products from Japan that you may not find in your country.

How do I place my order?
- Browse through the site until you find an item that strikes your fancy.
- Select the Sold By and Size from the pulldown menu, choose Qty you want, then click "add to cart".
- Do this for each item you would like to buy.
- Once you've added all the items, click "Cart" to review the shopping cart. The checkout process consists of 4 steps: billing address (and/or shipping address), shipping method, payment and confirmation. We'll send over an email with your order information to confirm.
Who can purchase from RiBBONs?
RiBBONs is open to anyone wishing to purchase exclusive ribbon & trim. If you are business or looking to purchase in quantity and would like more information please contact us.
Can I order a sold out item?
Normally, no, but if a item is currently sold out, it doesn't mean it won't come back. When a product is sold out, please contact us for further information.

When logging in please make sure you are using the email that you initially created the account with. In addition, if you are uncertain of the password you have used click here to have it mailed to you. If you are still having problems please contact us.
I'd like to cancel my order?
Notify us as soon as possible. If your order hasn't been processed yet, we will refund you the total amount of your order. However, if your order has already been processed, we cannot cancel it.
What is your return & exchange policy?

We currently accept payment via Visa/MasterCard/American Express and Paypal.
Is the site secure?
Credit Card and Personal banking information is fully protected by PayPal. RiBBONs doesn't have access to your credit card information at any time.
When will my credit card be charged?
Paypal will charge your credit card or Paypal account as soon as your order has been confirmed.
Do you offer discounts?
From time to time, we offer special promotions. If you have a discount code (lucky you!), you just need to copy and paste the code when ordering, just before the shipping choice, and don't forget to confirm it.
Will I be charged sales tax?

We do ship worldwide, if your country is not listed during the checkout process, feel free to contact us because we can ship in every country in the world.
Where will you ship my order from?
We are located in the city of Kamakura in Japan. Your order will be shipped directly from here.
Do you offer free shipping?
Currently we don't offer free shipping. As soon as it is available it will be posted on the web.
Will I have to pay taxes and custom fees?
The import of a product from Japan may be subject to taxes and to custom fees in the country of delivery. These supplementary costs are the customer’s responsibility. The price of the products excluding the shipping cost will be displayed on your package.For more information, click here.
How long will it take to get my order?
All orders are shipped in the order they are received. The shipping cut-off time is 10:00am JST. Orders placed after this time will be processed the next business day. Most orders ship within 48-72 hours excluding weekends and holidays (2-3 business day). Your ship time will vary depending on complexity of the order placed.
What shipping methods do you offer?
Parcels are collected by the Japanese Postal Service in our Kamakura office and delivered by your county's national Post service. Japan Post offers 2 different services(EMS and ePacket). For more information, click here.
How much is the shipping cost?
To know how much is the shipping cost will be, simply add your items to the cart, and shipping cost choices will be displayed under the section "Get shipping estimates" after entering your country and zip code. Also check shipping cost click here.
How can I track my order?
You can view the status of all of your orders by logging on your account by clicking here. Once you log in, you can view a list of all orders that were placed and the tracking number.
Will my items be backordered?
Most items are in stock and ready to ship. On occasion, an item goes out of stock. Should this occur, you will be notified as soon as possible by email, and you have the option to modify or out of stock items. Due to the nature of our items certain products will have a ship time between 2-6 weeks.
What should I do if I don't receive my order?
One or several items have been broken during the delivery?
If you have items that were damaged during delivery, please e-mail us within 3 days after receiving your order and include pictures of your damaged item.

How do I tell the size/color of an item?
We make every effort to accurately describe our products. If you do not see the size, color, of an item then please contact us with the item number. We will get back to you within 48 hours. Please click here for a size chart. The chart provides millimeter to inch conversion.
Do you carry this item?
The best way to determine if we carry an item is to enter a search term into the search box on our website. This will show you all the items we carry with that description. If you cannot find an item you are looking for on our site, please contact us. Please provide as much information as possible including pictures and be descriptive. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Do you have a printed catalog?
At this time we do not have a printed catalog. As soon as it is available it will be posted on the web.
What are color cards?
We offer our customers color cards to reference varies colors and sizes, of items we carry. Please contact us for their price and availability.
